Dear Readers,Corporatocracy is a neologism that describes a government dominated by corporate influence.
Have you ever though that this could be the only common government all the human beings on the earth?
I do not know exactly who introduced the term Corporatocracy. I know for sure that inside the book "Confession of an economic hit man" written by John Perkins, this form of government is defined and frequently cited.
The definition of Corporatocracy according to Mr. Perkins is of a world government consisting of the big corporations, banks and US government.
Mr. Perkins stated to have been working for a company, named MAIN, which was part of the Corporatocracy system.
The Corporatocracy operates by corrupting (by means of the economic hit men) democratically elected governments of developing countries around the globe, convincing them to acquire unneeded infrastructures for their countries.
In case the government is not corruptible. In other words, in case the current economic hit man fails, the jackals (e.g. CIA agents) take over the role of economic hit man by moving further and likely killing the members of government that did not accepted to be corrupted.
Mr. Perkins reports in his book as examples the cases of Omar Torrijos (President of Panama) and Jaime Roldos (President of Ecuador).
In case at the very end the CIA also fails, the US army and its historical allies will move in, as it happened for example in Nicaragua (where the US government has been considered guilty by the UN court of justice with the accusation of terrorism) and in Iraq (where they swept away their puppet government of Saddam Hussein in 2003).
The main (economical) goal of the Corporatocracy is to subdue by plunging into debt third world countries, in order to indefinitely own the full control of their political, economical and social life. The Corporatocracy operates at three different stages:
- The first stage is to corrupt the government of a developing country in order to convince them to build (by US corporation) engineering infrastructures, like new usefulness harbours, not needed new airports, huge power plant and so on.
- At the second step, once the country plunged into debt, the Corporatocracy will squeeze the subdued country until the pips squeak. During this phase the oil/mineral companies and the banks will realize their illegal profits. The oil/mineral companies will exploit the natural resources in case the subdued country has got them (famous examples are Colombia, Chile of Pinochet, and Venezuela before Chavez), while the banks enter the game in case the country has no natural resources and they will have their own profit as consequence of the huge mortgage needed by the third world country to pay the usefulness new infrastructures.
- At the very last step there is the US government, which is firstly financially supported by the corporations and secondly can count now on the backing of the now corrupted third world countries in order to fulfil his own foreign political agenda (e.g. having their support during UN votes, support in military operation).
To conclude, the Corporatocracy regime has the same features of a standard empire, with the only peculiar characteristic that it has been established by financial institutions rather than army. The Corporatocracy is a common concept in all the western countries, but only in the case of the US government rose at the role of a world wide empire.
Thanks for reading,
best regards,
Antonio
